Hump Day Hook

Hello, I'm a bit late this morning. I thought I'd take it back a little to my very first book, So Beautifully Broken.

Excerpt:

Horrible things always haunted her dreams and that feeling that her demons were just around the corner was always there in the back of her head. When Lilly’s mind went to those dark places, it took days for her not to see the devil in the face of every man out there. She needed to be numb. She needed to feel nothing. Only then could she function without falling to pieces, without getting trapped in the darkness that shrouded her soul.
