Wounded Warriors Charity Blog Hop
I have so many lovely memories from the holidays I couldn't possibly pick just one. I have an amazing family and beautiful friends whom I love with all my heart. I'm able to spend time with them, enjoy Christmas trees and turkey. I can wrap gifts in pretty paper. I have these blessings in my life and the freedom to enjoy them because of the brave men and women who serve this country to ensure our ways of life aren’t taken away. So, to show my appreciation to our armed forces I will donate $30.00 for 30 comments. Just tell me what your favorite memory is!
One lucky person will win a copy of my military novel, Courageous Dare.

Excerpt: Baylee drove without knowing where to go. After an hour and half of traveling aimlessly through town, she finally stopped at the one place she hadn’t been in months.
She
took a deep breath and got out, the rain pounded, soaking her instantly. The
day, hot and humid, made the air thick. On trembling legs, she walked to her
destination. Her knees buckled completely when she stopped. Baylee sat on the
sopping ground, wrapped her arms around her body, and broke completely as she
looked at her brother’s grave.
“You
left me, you promised me you’d always be here for me, and now you’re gone!”
Finally
she was able to recognize the gut wrenching feeling she’d suffered since she
found out he had been killed. Sadness, of course, but the dominate emotion was overwhelming
anger. Baylee raged at her brother for being gone.
She
heard his voice in her head from when they were kids. “You’re my baby sister, B, and I’ll always be there for you.” He
lied to her. Every promise he made had been false and meaningless.
“You’ll
never know your nephew! You won’t experience his first steps or first words!
You’ll never get to see him grow up!”
Baylee
screamed at the head stone. She carried the fury around for months and couldn’t
do it anymore.
“I
want to hate you for leaving me here! I want to hate you so badly. I’m alone
now! You’re gone, and I’m alone!”
She
sobbed, no longer able to form words. Falling forward, she pounded on the
sodden ground. She screamed, cried, and pulled at the grass. She begged God to
bring him back, begged Ethan to forgive her for saying she hated him. She cried
until she gagged but couldn’t stop.
Vile words left her mouth as a fresh round of agony
tore through her. She couldn’t stop them from coming out. Half of them she had
no knowledge of what she said, thinking she would die before this pain and
anger finally left her. To donate to this wonderful cause CLICK HERE

Hump Day Hook
Today I think Willow needs some love. This is from my latest release, The Weeping Willow Tree.
The Weeping Willow Tree:
The Weeping Willow Tree:
She
dropped the broom and rushed to the sink cradling her hand.
Danny
rushed to her side and took her hand in his as the water rinsed the blood away.
He pulled the cut apart to see how deep it was and she winced in pain. The cut
went from the middle of her palm down under her leather cuff, but wasn’t deep
enough to require stitches. Danny had unsnapped the leather cuff and eased it
off her wrist before she could stop him. When her flesh was exposed, her gut
twisted, her heart knocked against her ribcage as though it might pound right
out of her chest, and her breaths came out in rapid pants. Her worst fears had
just come true as his eyes zeroed in on the scars on her wrists.

Hump Day Hook
Hello all! Welcome back. Since I'm working on a book staring one of the secondary characters from Courageous Dare, I'm feeling like a trip down memory lane is called for. So, here I give you a little scene from when Nash and Baylee got together. Enjoy!
Excerpt: Courageous Dare
*Sigh* I kinda love Nash.

Excerpt: Courageous Dare
“Tell
me you’re sure about this. Tell me you want me.”
Desperation.
The only word she could use to describe the way he sounded.
“Yes,”
she gasped as he nipped the place where her shoulder met her neck.
Her answer seemed to be the only encouragement
he needed. His hands moved down her body, stopping at the hem of her dress.
When he pulled back to look at her once more, she gave him a nod of permission.*Sigh* I kinda love Nash.

Hump Day Hook
Today you get a true WIP as I reveal a little of Jolie's story. Jolie is a character from my novel Courageous Dare. While Dare was about Nash and Baylee, this story will be all Jolie and her journey to find love after a devastating loss.
![]() |
This will be the hero in the story. |
Jolie wanted to say something profound to him. She wanted to tell
him how much she loved him. How important he was to her very being. But, when she
pressed her hand against his chest every single word left her brain. There was
not a single trace of his normal warmth. His chest, normally firm, because he
was a muscular man, now was hard to the touch and she could feel the coldness
radiating through the thick layers of his uniform. Jolie jerked her hand away and
stumbled back. She couldn’t catch her breath. Her heart beat so fast it was
painful. She needed air, so she rushed back through the mourning people and
crashed through the front doors of the funeral home. The fingers she’s pressed
to his chest still felt cold and the chill seemed to be spreading throughout
her entire body. Jolie wanted her love back. She wanted her life back. She
wanted Ethan.

Hump Day Hook
Since Brax got such positive feedback last week I thought I would give you a little more of him. That and because I just love him. So here you go. Oh, I also made a cover that was approved, so I hope you like it.
Excerpt Silent Tears:
Excerpt Silent Tears:
He leaned in even closer so she could feel the
massive hard on she caused. “I don’t think you’re ready for that, bambina.”
“Trust me, Mr. Godfry, I’m no baby.” Before Brax even
realized she’d moved, there was a knife at his throat.
Their eyes met, neither of them backing down an
inch. There was something incredibly sexy about a woman who could hold her own,
but there was something else hidden in that green gaze of hers. Something she
didn’t want anyone else to know about. “Tell me your secrets, Camellia.”
“I have no secrets,” she hissed the words at him and
pressed the knife harder against his neck. He felt the cold steel of the blade
nick his skin.
“Careful there, Cam. A little tighter and you will
have the entire Godfry family on your ass.” He pressed his gun to the side of
her head because at the moment she wasn’t a beautiful woman, but an enemy who
posed a threat. She backed off, but he did not, and as she moved away from him
his arm extended out straight, keeping his aim on her. “Try that shit again,
and woman or not, I will put a bullet through you.”
“Noted, now that we’re clear on that, how about a
drink?” A slow, sexy little smile graced her lips.

Hump Day Hook
Hello all! Welcome to my Hump Day Hook. I think I will give you a tiny piece of my upcoming story. As far as I know it will be out in Feb. Really excited about this one! I don't have a cover yet, but here's what the hero looks like in my head.
Excerpt from Silent Tears:
Excerpt from Silent Tears:
Brax looked at the clock and noticed he had thirty
minutes to get across town to the meeting of the families. If he were to be
late he’d never hear the end of it from his father, the great Roman Godfry. He
walked to the private elevator that would take him down into the parking garage
where his fleet of cars awaited. On the ride down, Braxton looked at his
reflection in the chrome doors of the elevator. He straightened the lapels of
his black pinstriped suit, and then tightened his blood red tie. He ran his fingers
through his black hair to make sure it was as perfect as he could get it.
Before the elevator door opened, he checked his .45 making sure he was locked
and loaded. The doors slid open just as he secured his weapon in the holster
under his arm.
